Ok, I want to start this review by saying this is the 2nd feature phone I have ever used and my 3rd flip phone overall. My last one [ZTE] broke, so I decided to try out a new phone. I bought this one specifically because in the display photos, you can see Google Maps and WhatsApp. I have been using the phone for about 2 months, and here's what I have to say:
- The description claims "up to 28 days of standby with a single charge"
Maybe I just got a bad battery, but my phone struggles to last HOURS without the battery saving mode on. With it on, it almost lasts my work day. I always need to bring my portable charger when i go out.
- The Nokia brand was known for durability, but this phone has the same problem as other Androids, where if you drop it from too high up the back cover and battery fly out.
- WhatsApp cannot be downloaded on this phone. I think KaiOS phased it out.
- Google Maps comes preinstalled, BUT it does not appear on the homescreen. You have to open the app store every time you want to use it.
- Same with YouTube.
- A problem I never had with my ZTE, this phone sometimes thinks I'm roaming when I KNOW I am in my service area?
- The speaker and camera are okay, and I like the keypad.
- It has a flashlight, which is nice.
- Overall the phone looks very stylish.
If all you need is talk, text, and a standard mp3 player, this phone isn't bad.
If you're looking for a nice little phone to do the basics, it's not a bad option
Exceeds expectations. Big, chunky, easy to install battery. I like the color (Grey) will be putting a black case on it. Big numbers. This phone is "retro" in all the right ways.
Easy to see all that is important to me, easy to navigate settings, etc. ALL without touching the fing screen. This is exactly what I wanted in my new phone and it is compatible with my preferred Carrier.
I am feeling very happy about this new freedom from "touchscreen"...
his phone has all the everyday features I use on my smartphone including a chrome browser, and google maps. So it has essentials, but also keeps my screentime to a minimum. Thanks!
