honestly the best dumb phone i've seen that's accessible for Canadian network bands. I'm with roger's and it works great. It's powerful enough to having my necessities (banking, maps, whatsapp, spotify) but not too powerful to scroll or browse on. Browsing is okay, but quite janky and not a pleasurable experience (which is what we want from a dumb phone !) It's already improving my quality of life from having a smart phone. it's helping reprogram my mind from mindlessly picking it up because there's nothing fun to do on it. very functional. I will say, it is a big phone. When open, it's almost double the size of my iphone X. it's pretty much a 2 handed device because a lot of the functionality is easier on the touch screen. It doesnt bother me, but it's worth noting
I absolutely love this phone and was so excited to receive it - it initially worked fine with my UK sim card, sending calls and texts as normal. However, it suddenly stopped working, wouldn't receive or make calls, wouldn't even connect to voicemail and wouldn't send or receive text messages. Whatsapp still worked fine but only through wifi, the phone didn't even give mobile data signal anymore.
I don't know what happened, I didn't do anything my end, and despite resetting the phone twice, nothing has changed.
Unfortunately, after contacting the seller Y2KPhones WITHIN my warranty period to return for a refund, they stated this problem was not under warranty and I'd have to take it somewhere to get it fixed... I don't think this is good business at all and now I have to pay out to fix something that I haven't caused.
I won't be buying from them again which is a shame because I love all their phones! The phone itself is lovely though.

We're sorry to hear about the network configuration issue. As we explained privately, the device is not faulty and doesn’t require repair. You just need to visit your network provider and ask them to manually enter the APN settings. This is a common step with unlocked phones, takes only a couple of minutes and is done free of charge.
Regarding your return request, the product description clearly states:
'All of our phones are fully unlocked, but it is entirely the customer’s responsibility to ensure compatibility with their local network before purchasing. We are not responsible for any issues related to network incompatibility.'
Our shipping policy, which you agreed to at checkout, also specifies that returns are not accepted for this reason.

The ALT MIVE Style Folder practically offers everything a modern smartphone can do, while still offering the flair of a flipphone. It can run all apps I would usually use on my smartphone though for some reason, it sometimes doesn't instantly notifies me when I get messages on WhatsApp. I usually have to open the app beforehand to get timely notifications or else I don't know if I got messages. So I just open WhatsApp every few hours. I guess if would be alright if I had nothing to do but it is kinda annoying when those messages are important, like for example for a group project. Nonetheless, the phone works quite good so I still like it.

I had my alt mive for nearly a month, and here are some of my thoughts:
+ Easy to use, quite adjustable and has everything for daily use
+ Not too slow, not too fast, no doomscrolling at all
+ All essentials (bank, whatsapp, telegram, discord)
+ Works with my provider without issues
And some things I wish the phone had
- No removable battery
- Download and Upload speeds are slow (VERY), but it wont affect you sending small texts
Overall? Great! For the price I got a good “go outside, touch grass” phone, which looks cute, flips, allows me to listen to music and vibe more!
