Warranty

Do your devices come with a warranty?

We don’t offer a full manufacturer’s warranty. However, every purchase includes a 120-day battery warranty. This means you’re covered if your battery develops a fault within that period.

What does the 120-day battery warranty cover?

If you experience any battery-related issues within 120 days of receiving your device, just contact us with proof of the problem. We’ll send you a replacement battery at no extra cost.

Restocking

When will a product be restocked?

All the phones we sell are officially discontinued, which means they’re no longer being made. Some models are especially rare, so once they’re sold out, it can be hard to find more. We only restock when we’re able to source them again, so restocks are not guaranteed.

Are your devices brand new?

All of our devices are professionally refurbished, unless specified otherwise.

What is a refurbished device?

A refurbished device is a previously owned electronic item that has been returned, repaired if needed and thoroughly tested before being resold. This process often includes data wiping, cleaning, inspection, and potential component replacement to restore the device to a functional, near-new condition.

Network Compatibility

Do these phones require a SIM card?

Yes. These are mobile phones, so to make calls, send texts, or use mobile data you’ll need to insert your own SIM card from your carrier.

Do these phones come with a SIM card?

No, we only sell the device. SIM cards are not included.

Are any of your devices dual-SIM?

Yes, the Samsung Folder 2 G1650 is our only dual-SIM model.

How do I check if the phone is compatible with my network?

To check compatibility, we recommend checking with your network provider directly. Alternatively, you can compare the phone’s network frequency bands (listed in the product description) with the bands used by your mobile network. You can find your network’s frequency bands on websites like frequencycheck.com.

Who is liable for network compatibility?

App Compatibility

Which of your product collections can run apps?

Only our Smartphones, Keitais and Feature Phones can run apps.

Our Retro Phone collection cannot. Those are old 2G devices from years ago that don’t have modern smart features or app support.

Does the app I want work on this phone?

Check the Android version listed in the product description and compare it with your app’s requirements. If your app supports that version (or lower), it should work on the phone.

Who is responsible for app compatibility?

App compatibility is the responsibility of the customer. Since apps are created and managed by third-party developers, we can’t guarantee that every app will work on every device.

We provide the Android version and specifications in each product description so you can check your app’s requirements before purchasing.

APKPure

What does the APKPure add-on do?

If you choose the APKPure add-on when purchasing a smartphone, we’ll pre-install the APKPure app onto your device before shipping it.

The APKPure Store is an alternative app marketplace for Android devices. It allows users to download and install APK files (Android app packages) directly, including apps that may not be available on the Google Play Store due to region restrictions, device compatibility, or removal from the Play Store.

APKPure can be useful for smart devices running older versions of Android, as it may allow users to download and install earlier versions of apps that remain compatible with their device.

For example, WhatsApp normally only works on Android 5 and above. If you buy a phone like the LG Ice Cream F440 (which runs Android 4), WhatsApp won’t work, unless you have APKPure. With the add-on, you can download the Android 4 version of WhatsApp and it’ll work just fine.

We ask all customers to ensure that any app version they want is available on APKPure before purchase. We are not liable for third-party apps under any circumstances.

Can I get APKPure on a keitai?

Yes! All of our keitais have APKPure pre-installed, at no extra cost.

Keitais

What is a keitai?

A keitai is a Japanese flip phone that’s considered semi-smart. They’re not full smartphones, you won’t find touchscreens or the full Android experience, but they do offer more features than basic retro phones.

Keitais usually support calling, texting, 4G connectivity, and limited apps (through alternatives like APKPure), making them a great balance between modern function and retro style.

How do I set up my keitai?

Many people buy a keitai with the goal of giving it a smartphone-like interface. While keitais aren’t full smartphones, you can set them up to feel more like one. Here’s the general process (note: each brand’s interface is slightly different):

  1. Set up the MATVT cursor app: We pre-install this on every keitai. Once set up, it gives you a cursor so you can navigate the screen more easily.

  2. Enable third-party downloads: Go into your settings and allow installations from unknown sources.

  3. Open the APKPure store: This is also pre-installed. It lets you download apps directly onto the device.

  4. Install a launcher app: Search APKPure for a launcher (e.g., Nova Launcher or Smart Launcher). Once installed, this gives your keitai an Android-style interface.

After that, you’ll have a much more smartphone-like experience on your keitai.

Are there other ways to install apps on my keitai?

We pre-install the APKPure app store on every Keitai to make it easier for our customers to download apps directly onto their device. This is provided as a convenience, but since APKPure is a third-party app, we are not responsible for its performance or availability.

If APKPure doesn’t work on a device, apps can still be installed by sideloading them from a computer. There are plenty of step-by-step tutorials available on Google, Reddit, TikTok, and Instagram to guide customers through the process.
